Creating Directory Groups
Welcome to Unisyn Academy Admin Panel Navigation and Setup for Admin Users.

In this video, we will show you how to create Directory Groups.

On my Admin Panel. I'll scroll down to Directory Groups as shown here and you'll see I already have three Directory Groups setup within the Security Directory group. I can open that and view my five users as defined within this group. But let's setup a new group. Directory Groups are about defined user levels of authority access and allow you to setup company permissions. Let's setup a new group. I'll click on Everyone and setup a new group called Management. I'll add that group and then go add users. By clicking on the tab, I can now go to More and add members. I can select individual users, or I can upload a CSV file like an export from an HR system or excel spreadsheet.

In this example, I will add these five users here. I could also do select all and add those members. You can see here on the right which Directory Groups each of these individuals are now a part of. Now that we have setup our Directory Groups, let's go back to the main tab and see that we now have five members of a management directory group. For more advanced users, you can go into Directory group permissions and determine which groups or which users can manage other Directory Groups and add that level of permission. You can do the same with the Unisyn application, but most organizations choose to let everyone view everyone and not limit information flow.
